San Diego has some great courses. Specifically, if you have a chance to golf at the Coronado Private club, do it. They've got lots of par 5's, great views, and the weather is amazing. Also, if you can, stop in an get some food. The chef at the clubhouse makes one of the best club sandwiches that I've ever had.

Santa Cruz - Pasatiempo

Those taking a tour down 17 mile drive to Pebble Beach may want to indulge themselves to drive a little north to Santa Cruz. If you love the Masters, then take the time to appreciate this Alyster MacKenzie design (also designed Augusta National). Personally his favorite design, Pasatiempo offers a challenge to golfers of all levels and can lend some appreciation to the course details at Augusta National. Rates are $$$. However, the course is worth the experience, 5-Star!
